John Hughes John Hughes, 52, of 1075 Raymo road, died last night in Metropolitan General Hospital after a six months illness. Mr. Hughes was born in Coatbridge, Scotland, and came to Windsor years ago. He was employed at the Ford Motor Company. He was a sergeant and drill instructor in World War I.

Two Oratory Finals Here W.O.S.S.A. Contests At Two Schools Windsor will be host to the senior boys and girls W.O.S.S.A. public speaking contests on Friday, March 15 at 2 p.m. The senior boys will be held in Patterson Collegiate while the senior girls will take place in Kennedy Collegiate. The junior boys' contest will be at Forest on Wednesday, March 13.
Time and place of the junior girls' contest has not yet been decided. The main difficulty of setting dates is that spring examinations are being held in many schools during the next two weeks. Examinations will get under way at Kennedy Thursday and continue for a week. However, since the senior girl representative from Windsor, Hope Arnott, is a fourth form student at Kennedy, Principal A. F.
S. Gilbert has arranged the examination timetable SO all fourth forms will not have examinations Friday afternoon and will be able to attend the contest. Igor Kaplan, junior boys' representative from Windsor, also from Kennedy Collegiate, will journey to Forest the day before his examinations start. Barry Katz, from Patterson, is the senior boys' speaker representing Windsor and Luana Louch, Kennedy, is the junior girls' finalist. Everyone is invited to attend these final contests.
