but Kirchner appointed Frank Sprister. Appleton, to serve out Smith's term as treasurer, which expires in July. Kirchner also presented seven suggestions which were accepted by the board and which will receive administration response at the next regular board meeting. Among the recommendations is a request for an evaluation of all employes "in order to improve instruction for our students and bring to the attention of the board the strengths and weaknesses of our staff and Kirchner asked for such an evaluation by March 1 for contract purposes. Kirchner referred to the lengthy heated negotiations with the Faculty Association during the strike in September. Other requests include: reassessment of administration policy of staff attendance at meetings away from school. keeping in mind the cost of time and money of such attendance; administration study of the feasibility of a clerical pool to reduce costs: a long range administration plan for data processing for instruction and administration. including staff and equipment utilization and projected costs: employment of the Wisconsin Association of School Board or some other source to conduct a middle management clinic for administration and middle management; and consideration of purchase of two cars for District Director William Sirek and Deputy Director D.
